Seach Ends for Missing Women, Children in Santa Ana Pueblo

January 11, 2017 update: 

The five bodies found on Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico this week have been identified by relatives as Leticia George (adult), Vanessa George (adult), Zoe Becenti (child), Chloe Becenti (child), and Haleigh Toledo (child).

The Office of the Medical Investigator will make a definitive determination on the identities of all the recovered bodies.

Autopsy results are pending.

As this case remains under investigation, no further comment can be made at this time.

The bodies of an unidentified adult female and a child were discovered today on the Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico.

Searchers found the bodies of two unidentified children on the Pueblo yesterday.

The body of an adult female found on the Pueblo on Sunday has been identified by relatives as Leticia George.

It appears the bodies recovered are the missing women and children who were the subject of a recent Albuquerque Police Department missing persons bulletin.

The Office of the Medical Investigator will make a definitive determination on the identities of all the recovered bodies.

The FBI, U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, Albuquerque Police Department, New Mexico State Police, Santa Ana Police and Conservation Departments, Jemez Pueblo Police Department, Navajo Nation Criminal Investigation Section, and Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office are involved in the investigation.

An extensive investigation has been conducted and continues.

Autopsies are pending to determine the cause of each death, but foul play by another party is not suspected at this time.
