FBI Media Alert: Woman Wanted by FBI in New Mexico Arrested in Utah

A woman wanted by the FBI for her alleged involvement in a drug trafficking organization that operated in New Mexico as well as other states has been arrested in Utah on local charges.

Marysol Pena, 29, was booked into the Utah County Jail on Friday by Utah County Major Crimes detectives and Provo Special Enforcement detectives on probable cause charges of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and violation of probation or parole.

On February 13, 2019, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Pena in the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico after she was charged with conspiracy, distribution of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, aiding and abetting, and distribution of 40 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of fentanyl.

Arrangements will be made to return Pena to New Mexico to face federal charges.
