FBI Media Alert: Three Face Federal Charges in Peñasco, New Mexico, Robbery

Three men have been charged federally in connection with the November 11, 2019, robbery of a store in Peñasco, New Mexico.

The FBI, with the assistance of the Bureau of Indian Affairs and New Mexico State Police, arrested Terance Quintana, Andrew Romero, and Christopher Shemayme on Thursday, November 21, 2019.

All three are charged with Interference with Commerce by Threats or Violence, and Quintana and Romero also are charged with Use of a Firearm during a Crime of Violence.

The three men had initial appearances in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque on Friday, November 22, 2019.

They were ordered detained until their preliminary/detention hearings on Monday, November 25, 2019.

The public is reminded that all defendants are considered innocent unless convicted in a court of law.
