FBI Media Alert: Route 66 Casino Express Armed Robbery
The FBI and Laguna Police Department are investigating the Sunday (December 13) morning armed robbery of Route 66 Casino Express, on Interstate 40 west of Albuquerque.
The suspects are two men and a female driver.
The male suspects entered the Casino Express at approximately 2:10 a.m. One of the men demanded money from the cashier at gunpoint, while the other man stood close by.
All three suspects are believed to have fled with an undisclosed amount of money in a silver four-door Ford sedan with tinted windows and a spoiler on the trunk.
One of the men is possibly Hispanic, approximately 5’5” tall, weighing about 130 pounds, and walked with a limp in his left leg. He wore a brown camouflage hunting jacket with a hood, a black shirt with the possible word “DOPE” written on it in large letters, dark sagging pants, red or hunter orange gloves with black palms, and dark shoes.
The other male suspect is possibly black, approximately 6’ tall, and weighs about 180 pounds. He wore a brown camouflage hunting jacket with a hood, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, and gray gloves.
The faces of both men were covered by scarves.
The woman is described as light-skinned Hispanic or white, approximately 5’5” tall, weighs about 160 pounds, with dark hair. She wore a black shirt and black leather jacket.
The female driver purchased gas at the station shortly before the robbery.
