An Albuquerque man wanted on a federal arrest warrant for absconding from pre-trial release has been apprehended by the Rio Rancho Police Department. 

The FBI arrested Thang Nguyen, 22, on July 5, 2018, on a federal complaint charging him with transmitting in interstate commerce a communication containing a threat to injure another person. 

Nguyen was placed under pre-trial release supervision on July 9. He left the U.S. Probation and Pretrial Office in Albuquerque without permission and his whereabouts were unknown. 

A federal warrant was issued for Nguyen's arrest.

Rio Rancho Police Officers arrested Nguyen on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. 

The public is reminded that all defendants are considered innocent unless convicted in a court of law.
