FBI Media Alert: Man Wearing White Hard Hat, Orange Vest Tries to Rob Albuquerque Bank

A man wearing a white hard hat and an orange safety vest attempted to rob a northeast Albuquerque bank and fled on a purple bicycle Tuesday December 19, 2017.

The suspect is described as a white male with tanned skin. He is in his 20s or early 30s, approximately 6'2” tall, with a thin build.

He wore a white hard hat, a white dusk mask, sunglasses or safety glasses, a dark hooded sweatshirt, an orange safety vest, dark gloves, and dark pants.

At approximately 4:35 p.m., the suspect entered Bank of America, located at 5600 Lomas Boulevard, NE., and presented a demand note to a teller.

The suspect fled without getting any money when he was confronted by a bank employee.

He was seen on a purple bicycle heading east in an alley south of the bank.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
