FBI Media Alert: Man Wearing Baggy Hooded Shirt, Black Beanie Robs Albuquerque Bank

An unidentified man wearing a baggy blue hooded shirt and black beanie robbed a northeast Albuquerque bank on Monday, December 20, 2021.

The robbery occurred at Rio Grande Credit Union, 1201 San Pedro Drive NE, at approximately 4:19 p.m.

The suspect is described as approximately 5'2” to 5'3” tall and skinny.

He wore a baggy, blue hooded shirt, black beanie, a blue and white surgical mask, red or brown gloves, gray sweat pants, and dark shoes with white soles.

The suspect entered the bank, handed a demand note to a teller, and threatened that he had a gun.

After the teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, he demanded and received money from another teller’s drawer.

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are investigating.
