FBI Media Alert: Man Suspected of Robbing Same Española Bank Twice in a Month
The FBI and Española Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the individual responsible for a bank robbery on Monday, March 28, 2022.
At approximately 1:25 p.m., an unknown male entered WaFd Bank, 1124 North Riverside Drive, in Española. The suspect presented a note to the teller demanding money from the bank. The robber received an undisclosed sum of money and ran east toward North Monterey Lane.
This individual is suspected of robbing the same bank on March 2, 2022.
Suspect’s Description:
- Sex: Male
- Age: 20s
- Height: Approximately 5'8” to 5'9”
- Eyes: Brown
- Build: Skinny
- Clothing: Orange and black hoodie, black pants, blue surgical mask, white shoes.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
