FBI Media Alert: Man in Dark Track Suit Tries to Rob Albuquerque Bank
The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the individual responsible for an attempted bank robbery on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
At approximately 5:11 p.m., an unknown male approached First Convenience Bank, located inside Walmart Supercenter, 301 San Mateo Boulevard SE. The suspect presented a note to the teller demanding money from the bank and also displayed a black handgun. The robber did not receive any money and left.
Suspect’s Description:
- Sex: Male
- Race: White
- Age: Late 20s to 30 years old
- Build: Heavy
- Height: Approximately 5'8”
- Clothing: Dark track suit with gold stripes on arms, camouflage baseball cap, dark mask, brown shoes.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
