A man wanted for an August 11 bank robbery in Albuquerque was arrested Saturday, December 2, 2017.

The FBI, with the assistance of the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office and Albuquerque Police Department, arrested Fidel Castillo at an Albuquerque residence.

The FBI announced Thursday, November 30, 2017, it was offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Castillo.

Tips generated from the ensuing media publicity were instrumental in leading authorities to Castillo.

He is charged with the August 11, 2017, robbery of U.S. Bank, located at 2015 Eubank Boulevard, NE.

Castillo, 45, is expected to have an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque on Monday.

The public is reminded that all persons are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
