The FBI is reviewing an agent-involved shooting that occurred in a parking lot in the 2000 block of Wyoming Boulevard NE in Albuquerque at approximately 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2021.

A team of FBI special agents and task force officers were executing federal search warrants and making an arrest at the time in a violent crime case.

A male subject was shot and is deceased. His identity will not be released at this time.

An FBI agent was wounded but is expected to recover.

In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under investigation by the FBI’s Inspection Division.

The review process is thorough and objective and is conducted as expeditiously as possible.

Because this is an ongoing investigation, no further information will be released at this time.
