FBI Media Alert: FBI Offers $1,000 Reward for Information in Navajo Nation Homicide

The FBI is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a homicide that occurred near Gallup, New Mexico.

The body of an adult Native American man was discovered Friday (June 8) at approximately 6:30 a.m. on China Springs Loop, about four miles north of Gallup, on the Navajo Nation.

The victim, who is not being identified at this time, suffered multiple stab wounds, although an official cause of death is pending an autopsy.

The homicide likely occurred Thursday night or early Friday morning.

A witness reported seeing a four-door newer model blue sedan in the area around the time of the homicide.

Two Native American males were seen inside the vehicle, which had a black Arizona license plate on the back.

The victim’s burned truck was found south of Gallup and is being processed by law enforcement.
