FBI Media Alert: FBI, Albuquerque Police Seek Ski Bum Bandit Who Wore Goggles

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the Ski Bum Bandit who robbed First Financial Credit Union, 1625 Rio Bravo Boulevard SW, at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022.

Suspect description:

  • Race: Black
  • Height: 6'0"
  • Weight: 180 pounds (slim)
  • Clothing: Dark hooded sweatshirt, ski goggles, blue surgical mask, blue glove on right hand, dark pants, dark running shoes.
  • Other: He had a limp walking into the credit union, but that limp quickly disappeared as he sprinted out of the building going west and down an alley.

The suspect displayed a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money from the bank.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
