FBI Media Alert: Albuquerque Man Charged with Making Threats Over the Internet

On Wednesday, June 24, 2020, the FBI arrested Mark Christopher Arnold, 38, of Albuquerque, on a federal arrest warrant charging him with making threats over the Internet.

Arnold is scheduled to have an initial appearance in the U.S. District Court in Albuquerque on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at which time the criminal complaint against him is expected to be unsealed.

Arnold is charged with communications made via interstate communications, which contain threats to kidnap or injure the person of another; and stalking—electronic communications sent with the intent to kill, injure, harass, or intimidate.

He is accused of sending numerous threatening and harassing messages to an ex-girlfriend between April and June 2019.

Arnold also is accused of uploading pornographic videos of his ex-girlfriend to a pornography website and sending links to her friends.

The San Antonio FBI Division and Albuquerque Police Department assisted with the investigation.

The public is reminded all defendants are considered innocent unless convicted in a court of law.

(The FBI does not release mugshots of defendants in custody).
