Arrests Made in Albuquerque-Area Bank Robberies
Two people were arrested on Monday, July 28, 2014, in connection with separate bank robberies in the Albuquerque Metro area.
Jeremy Trujillo, 34, of Albuquerque, was arrested in connection with the robbery on Monday, July 28 of the Bank of Albuquerque at 4201 Wyoming Blvd. NW in Albuquerque.
The Albuquerque Police Department arrested Trujillo and turned him over to the FBI.
Witnesses said a man entered the bank at approximately 9:30 a.m. and displayed a handgun.
He demanded money from a teller, who gave him an undisclosed amount of cash.
Angelica Donna Casados, 26, of Rio Rancho, was arrested on Monday pursuant to a federal arrest warrant.
Casados was indicted Thursday, July 24 on two counts each of bank robbery and aiding abetting for the bank robberies at Bank of Albuquerque at 4300 Ridgecrest Dr SE in Rio Rancho on June 30 and at Bank of Albuquerque at 10131 Coors Blvd NW in Albuquerque on July 8.
The Rio Rancho Police Department arrested Casados on Monday.
The two bank robberies were investigated by the FBI, the Rio Rancho Police Department, and the Albuquerque Police Department.
Trujillo and Casados are scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque on July 29.
No further details will be released until after their court appearances.
