Armed Man Wearing Ski Mask Robs Albuquerque Bank

A man wearing a black ski mask and displaying a silver handgun robbed a southwest Albuquerque bank Monday, February 13, 2017.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5'10” to 6' tall, with a medium to heavy build.

He wore a black ski mask, black baseball cap, dark sweatpants, and a gray hooded sweatshirt with a red stripe across the shoulders, a multi-color logo on the front and possibly the brand name “FUBU” on the back.

The suspect entered BBVA Compass Bank, 9500 Sage Road SW, at approximately 2:24 p.m., displayed a silver handgun, and demanded money from a teller.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank and likely headed east on Sage Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at (505) 889-1300, or Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (505) 843-STOP.

Also, anyone who finds red-stained money, clothing, or other items in the area is asked to call the FBI at the number listed above.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
