FBI Media Alert: Have You Seen the Tan/Gray Pants Bandit? He’s Wanted for Another Bank Robbery in Rio Rancho
The FBI and Rio Rancho Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the Tan/Gray Pants Bandit, who is wanted for multiple bank robberies in the Rio Rancho and surrounding area. He robbed the Washington Federal Bank, 2518 Southern Blvd SE Rio Rancho, at approximately 4:25p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024.
Suspect’s description:
- Sex: Male
- Race: White
- Height: Approximately 5’7”
- Build: stocky
- Clothing: Blue hat, Black face mask, Black long sleeve shirt, grey skinny pants, glasses
The suspect entered the Bank and demanded money from the teller. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.

- First Financial Credit Union of Rio Rancho, 2201 Rio Rancho Blvd SE, at approximately 5:15p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024.
- Rio Grande Credit Union of Rio Rancho, located at 1526 Unser Blvd SE, at approximately 4:45p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024.
- Bank of Albuquerque, located at 6600 4th St NW, Los Ranchos De Albuquerque, at approximately 4:55p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024.
