COLUMBIA, SC—United States Attorney Bill Nettles stated today that Travis Lee Holder, age 37, of Gaston, was charged with mail fraud, a violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1341.

According to the Indictment, Holder was an employee of Medical Services of America, Inc. (MSA). Holder stole supplies from MSA and sold them to pharmacies in Louisiana, representing that he was the seller. The pharmacies then paid Holder for the supplies, which totaled approximately $60,000.

Bill Nettles stated the maximum penalty Travis Lee Holder could receive is a fine of $250,000 and/or imprisonment of 20 years. Mr. Nettles stated that the case was investigated by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and that he has assigned the case to Assistant United States Attorney Winston D. Holliday, Jr., of the Columbia office for prosecution.

The United States Attorney stated that all charges in this Indictment are merely accusations and that all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
