Four Bank Robberies in South Carolina One Suspect

The FBI is soliciting tips from the public as to the location of an individual believed to be responsible for four bank robberies in South Carolina since December 2008.

Jeffrey Patrick Frye, a resident from Hanahan, South Carolina (Berkeley County) is believed to be responsible for bank robberies at the First Citizens Bank located in North Charleston (9205 University Boulevard); West Columbia (2830 Sunset Boulevard); Spartanburg (2895 Reidville Road), and as of 1/13/09, Columbia (7039 Park Lane Rd). All bank robberies were conducted with Frye giving the tellers a note demanding money.

The suspect is described as follows:

DOB: 03/03/1964

Race/Sex: White/Male

Height: 5’8”

Weight: 230 lbs.

Other: Wears glasses.

The FBI; the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office; the Richland County Sheriff’s Department; the North Charleston Police Department; the West Columbia Police Department, and the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office are jointly investigating these robberies.
