Toledo Man Arrested on Child Prostitution Charge

Stephen Anthony, Special Agent in Charge of the Cleveland Division of the FBI, Northern District of Ohio, announces the arrest of Trashon Autman, 20 years old, of Toledo, Ohio.

On February 22, 2016, a federal criminal complaint was filed in the Northern District of Ohio for the arrest of Trashon Autman. The complaint establishes probable cause to believe that Autman knowingly transported an individual under 18 years of age, with the intention that the minor engage in prostitution, in violation of Title 18, USC 2423(a).

On February 22, 2016, Autman was taken into custody without incident by the Toledo Resident Agency’s NorthWest Ohio Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force. Autman appeared before Magistrate Judge James R. Knepp, II for his initial appearance, at which time he waived his right to a detention hearing and was detained, without bail, pending trial. On February 23, 2016, Autman  waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

A complaint is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
