Stephen Anthony, Special Agent in Charge of the Cleveland Division of the FBI, Northern District of Ohio, announces the arrest of Steven A. Ciccone, 66 years old, of Kent, Ohio.

At approximately 8 a.m. on February 5, 2016, a federal search warrant regarding receipt and distribution of child pornography and possession and access with intent to view child pornography was executed at Ciccone’s residence. Based on the evidence obtained, a federal criminal complaint was filed, and Ciccone was taken into custody without incident by agents of the FBI’s Akron Resident Agency’s Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Ciccone appeared before Magistrate Judge Burke this afternoon in federal court in Akron. He was detained and will have his preliminary and detention hearing on February 9th at 10 a.m..

A complaint is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
