Stephen D. Anthony, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Cleveland Division, announces the arrest of John Lee Robinson.

The Citizens Bank located at 4260 Monroe Street in Toledo was robbed on Wednesday, June 3 and Thursday, June 4by what appeared to be the same individual.

A press release and surveillance photos were disseminated on Wednesday after the first robbery. The release and accompanying surveillance photos produced several viable tips, which investigators were actively pursuing.

Those tips led to the identification of John Lee Robinson, 53 years of age. Robinson was taken into custody late Thursday afternoon by law enforcement.

The investigative agencies involved are the FBIs Safe Streets Task Force, the Toledo Police Department and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Robinson is currently being held on charges by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
