Cleveland Man Indicted for Robbing Four Banks in Northeast Ohio
|U.S. Attorney’s Office December 21, 2010|
Marty E. Taylor, age 34, of Cleveland, Ohio, was indicted on four counts of bank robbery, Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, announced today.
The indictment charges that between October 4, 2010 and November 17, 2010, Taylor robbed four banks in northeast Ohio, one in each of the following communities: North Randall, Warrensville Heights, Maple Heights and Cleveland Heights.
If convicted, the defendant’s sentence will be determined by the court after a review of factors unique to this case, including the defendant’s prior criminal record.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Dean M. Valore. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
