Gates Mills Man Pleads Guilty in Connection with Cuyahoga County Corruption Investigation

William N. Neiheiser pled guilty today to four charges related to the Cuyahoga County Corruption investigation, announced Bernard A. Smith, Appellate Chief, Criminal Division in the Northern District of Ohio; Harold Bickmore, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Cleveland Division of the FBI; and Jose A. Gonzalez, Special Agent in Charge of the Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation Division.

Neiheiser, 52, of Gates Mills, Ohio, pled guilty to two counts conspiracy to commit bribery in federally funded programs that involved Reliance Mechanical contracts at MetroHealth Medical Center and projects at CMHA, according to court documents. Those charges were filed this morning as part of a Supplemental Information

Neiheiser also plead guilty to two previously filed charges—Counts 17 and 19 of the Indictment charging co-defendants James Dimora, Robert Rybak, Jerry Skuhrovec, Bridget McCafferty, and Michal Gabor in connection with the Cuyahoga County Corruption Investigation.

Neiheiser is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 17, 2011 by U.S. District Judge Kathleen O’Malley.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Ann C. Rowland, Antoinette T. Bacon, and Nancy L. Kelley following investigation by the Cleveland office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Internal Revenue Service. The investigation is ongoing.
