Toledo Resident Charged with Sex Trafficking of a Minor

U.S. Attorney’s Office October 06, 2010
  • Northern District of Ohio (216) 622-3600

An indictment charging Anthony C. Willoughby, also known as “P.T.” and “Party Time,” with sex trafficking of a minor was unsealed today, announced Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio.

Willoughby, age 33, last resided at 532 Durango Drive in Toledo, Ohio. He was arrested this morning and remains in custody following an arraignment Wednesday afternoon.

The indictment alleges that beginning on or about February 15, 2009, through on or about March 19, 2009, Willoughby recruited, enticed, harbored, and transported a juvenile, identified in the indictment as “S.W.,” knowing that by means of force, fraud, and coercion the juvenile was caused to engage in a commercial sex act. The charge against Willoughby carries a possible sentence from a 15-year mandatory maximum, up to life in prison, for sex trafficking of a minor.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney James V. Moroney, following an investigation by the Toledo Resident Agency of the Cleveland FBI and the Northwest Ohio Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force (NWOVCACTF), which is part of the Innocence Lost National Initiative.

An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
