Suspect Sought in Portsmouth Bank Robbery

PORTSMOUTH, OH—The FBI and the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office are seeking information to identify an unknown male bank robbery suspect involved in the December 7, 2012 robbery of the WesBanco banking office located at 2331 Galena Pike in West Portsmouth, Ohio.

Officials are offering a cash reward in exchange for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the subject(s) involved with this robbery.

At approximately 11:16 a.m. on December 7, 2012, a man armed with a black semi-automatic pistol entered the WesBanco branch demanding an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was described as a white male, in his mid- to late 30s, 6’3”-6’5” tall, with a slim build. The suspect wore black boots, blue jeans, black gloves, a hooded black jacket with a red stripe, black fabric covering his face below his nose, and sunglasses with dark lenses and frames.
