Reward Offered in Search for Suspects in Armed Robbery of Oak Lawn Bank

CHICAGO—John A. Brown, Acting Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today a $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of two suspects following the armed robbery of a U.S. Bank branch in Oak Lawn this morning.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., the two suspects entered the U.S. Bank branch located at 10270 South Central Avenue in Oak Lawn (Ill). Shortly thereafter, the first suspect held bank employees and customers at gunpoint in the lobby. The second suspect forced a bank employee to open the bank vault. The suspects escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. No physical injuries were reported in connection with this robbery.

During the robbery, the suspects wore masks and what are believed to be blue latex gloves. The attached flyer includes a photo of them without the masks just prior to entering the bank.

Both suspects are described as male, black and approximately 20-30 years old. The first suspect is about five feet ten inches to six feet tall and was seen wearing a black hoodie. The second suspect is approximately five feet eight inches tall and was seen wearing a blue hoodie. They are considered armed and dangerous.

This case is being investigated by the FBI in coordination with local authorities.
