Michael J. Anderson, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today a reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect or suspects responsible for robbing a bank in northwest suburban Chicago yesterday.

At approximately 10 a.m., an unidentified male entered the Union National Bank branch located at 101 East Chicago in Elgin (Illinois). After approaching a teller, he made a threatening demand for money and then escaped with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. No physical injuries were reported in connection with this robbery.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a male, white, 6’1” to 6’ 3” tall, weighing around 190 pounds, with a medium build, a bald head and green eyes. He was seen wearing a dark colored Adidas brand sweatshirt. He is considered armed and dangerous.
