The FBI is requesting assistance from the public in identifying the man who carried out a takeover robbery in Bolingbrook during which a bank employee was shot and wounded. Robert J. Holley, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Field Office of the FBI, made the request today as he announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the robber.

The robbery occurred just before noon on August 11, 2014, when an armed man entered the First Midwest Bank branch located at 450 N. Bolingbrook Drive in Bolingbrook. The robber approached the teller counter brandishing a handgun and loudly announced the robbery. During the course of the robbery, a bank employee sustained a gunshot wound. After receiving cash, the robber fled the bank on foot.

The robber was described by witnesses as a black male in his early 20s and 5’10” to 6’2” tall with a thin build. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt and a red baseball cap with a Chicago Bulls logo, and he covered the lower part of his face with a dark bandana.
