Robbery of TCF Bank Branch in Elmhurst

A bank robbery occurred just before noon today at the TCF Bank branch located at 944 South York Road in Elmhurst. The robber, who appeared to be accompanied by two others, approached a teller at the bank and presented a note demanding cash. The other two individuals did not approach the teller counter. The robber implied that he had a weapon but did not display one. After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber and his companions left on foot. No injuries were reported in connection with the robbery.

This robber and associates are suspected in a number of robberies and attempted robberies dating back to May 26, 2012.
