Robbery of TCF Bank Branch in Hoffman Estates

Below are photographs from a bank robbery which occurred yesterday, Wednesday, October 19, 2011.

At approximately 2:24 p.m. on October 19, the TCF Bank branch (located inside Jewel) at 1069 N. Roselle Road, Hoffman Estates, was robbed by a lone white male. He approached the teller counter, displayed a handgun in his waistband, and announced a robbery. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled the store on foot. No injuries were reported as a result of this robbery.

According to witnesses, the robber is further described as 25-35 years of age, 5’7” - 5’9” tall, thin-medium build. He was wearing aviator-style sunglasses with very dark lenses, a fake goatee, distinctive nose (possibly fake), dark colored zip-up hoodie jacket, dark gloves, jeans, and work boots.
