BUFFALO, N.Y.-U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr. announced today that Jeffrey Paden, 47 of Frewsburg, NY, who was convicted of possession of child pornography, was sentenced to 57 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Aaron J. Mango and Scott S. Allen, Jr., who handled the case, stated that on September 20, 2007, the defendant knowingly possessed over 600 images of child pornography which were stored on his personal computer. Paden obtained these images over the internet. Some of the images depicted prepubescent minors or minors less than 12 years of age.

The sentencing is the result of an investigation on the part of Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Child Exploitation Task Force, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Adam S. Cohen. The task force includes the Buffalo Police Department, Cheektowaga Police Department, and Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
