  • Western District of New York (716) 843-5700

ROCHESTER, NY—U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced today that Robert A. Storch, 51, of West Virginia, pled guilty before U.S. District Judge Charles J. Siragusa to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute 100 kilograms or more of marijuana. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison, a fine of $2,000,000, or both. The plea also requires Storch to forfeit a 2007 Toyota Tundra, which was used in the commission of the conspiracy.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Brett A. Harvey, who is handling the case, stated that between 2006 and March 2009, Storch was responsible for obtaining between 100 and 400 kilograms of marijuana from a supplier in the Rochester, New York area and transporting the marijuana back to West Virginia for distribution to others.

The plea is the culmination of an investigation on the part of special agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Special Agent In Charge James H. Robertson.

Sentencing is scheduled for April 29, 2011, at 3:45 p.m. in Rochester, N.Y., in front of Judge Siragusa.
