Massachusetts Man Pleads Guilty to Distribution of a Controlled Substance

CONCORD, NH—Christian Ashley Cook-Cohen, 20, of West Roxbury, Massachusetts, plead guilty today in United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire to three counts of distribution of a controlled substance—cocaine base, also known as crack cocaine—announced United States Attorney John P. Kacavas.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Manchester Police Department, and the other law enforcement agencies that comprise the Safe Streets Gang Task Force conducted an investigation into the sale of controlled substances in the City of Manchester. A confidential informant purchased crack cocaine from Cook-Cohen on November 30, 2011, December 7, 2011 and December 19, 2011 as part of the ongoing investigation. The Defendant was arrested on March 22, 2012 in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Cook-Cohen is facing a maximum sentence of 20 years and is scheduled to be sentenced on January 3, 2013. He has been released pending sentencing.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Debra M. Walsh.
