Milton Woman Sentenced for Bank Robbery

CONCORD, NH—United States Attorney for the District of New Hampshire John P, Kacavas, FBI Special Agent in Charge Warren Bamford and Barrington Police Chief Richard Conway today announced that Sheri Fister, 43, of Milton, New Hampshire, was sentenced to 36 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to robbing the Citizens Bank located at the junction of Routes 9 and 125 in Barrington on August 26, 2009. Fister was also sentenced to 36 months of supervised release which will begin after she is released from prison. During the period of supervised release, Fister’s behavior will be monitored by the United States Probation and Pretrial Services Office. The court also ordered Fister to pay restitution to Citizens Bank.

Fister entered the Citizens Bank in Barrington on August 26, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. She handed a teller a note demanding money. Fister produced an unloaded revolver which she placed on the counter in front of the teller. Fister was given a sum of money and left the bank. Civilian witnesses saw Fister leave the bank and provided a description of her vehicle to the police. After the bank robber’s image was circulated in the media, the police received a number of calls identifying the robber as Fister. Additional investigation led by the police confirmed that Fister committed the robbery.

The case was investigated by the Barrington Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
