FBI Offers Reward for Information on Shooter in an Armed Robbery

Updated October 22, 2015: The FBI Baltimore Violent Crimes Task Force is now offering up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest after an armed man shot a store clerk during this robbery. More information.


The FBI Baltimore Violent Crimes Task Force and Baltimore Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who shot a store clerk while robbing the Hanover Mart at 3806 South Hanover Street in Baltimore on October 2. The FBI is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Investigators say the robber went into the store, bought a cup of coffee, and then acted as if he was going to leave. He returned to the counter and demanded money from the clerk, while pulling out a handgun. During the robbery, the robber shot the clerk in the arm. The clerk has non-life threatening injuries and was treated and released from the hospital.

The robber is described as a black man, 20 to 30 years old, and was seen wearing a grey sweatshirt, dark pants, and a purple hat. He left the store on foot.

The Baltimore FBI Violent Crimes Task Force is made up of FBI agents, Baltimore City Police detectives, Baltimore County Police detectives, and Anne Arundel County Police detectives. They investigate significant violent crimes, including kidnappings, robberies of commercial institutions, armored car and bank robberies, extortions, and fugitive felons.
