FBI Offers Reward for Fugitive Wanted in Connection with Several Bank Robberies

Updated September 25, 2014: Detectives arrested Earl Cousins without incident on September 23.

The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force is asking for the public’s help in finding wanted fugitive Earl Cousins (dob: 02/15/1963) who is believed to be involved in two attempted bank robberies and five bank robberies in the Baltimore area. Investigators believe Cousins attempted to rob the Bank of America at 3215 Washington Boulevard in Baltimore on September 23. They say he left that bank after a security guard recognized him. They believe a short time later he robbed the Bank of America at 201 North Charles Street, Baltimore.

Investigators describe Earl Cousins as a black man, about 6’ tall, and around 190 pounds. He has short hair, balding on top and has a salt and pepper beard and mustache.

Witnesses say he was seen leaving the Washington Boulevard bank in a silver Chevy Lumina, driven by a woman. He ran away from the North Charles Street bank after trying to carjack a driver. The list of suspected robberies is below, including the attempted and actual robbery today.

  • 09/23 – Bank of America, 3215 Washington Blvd., Baltimore, MD (attempted)
  • 09/23 – Bank of America, 201 North Charles Street, Baltimore, MD

If you know anything that may help investigators find Cousins, or if you have any information about the robberies, you are asked to call the Baltimore FBI at (410) 265-8080. You could receive a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to Cousins’ arrest.

The Baltimore FBI Violent Crimes Task Force is made up of FBI Agents, Baltimore City Police Detectives, Baltimore County Police Detectives, and Anne Arundel County Police Detectives. They investigate significant violent crimes, including kidnappings, robberies of commercial institutions, armored car and bank robberies, extortions, and fugitive felons.
