Mollie Halpern: The FBI needs your help to identify a serial bank robber who attempted to kill a police officer.

Kevin Boles: We’re really working hard on this case to identify this individual before he strikes again.

Halpern: I’m Mollie Halpern of the Bureau with Wanted by the FBI. The so-called AK-47 Bandit is wanted for the attempted murder of a police officer, five actual and one attempted robbery in California, Washington state, Idaho, and most recently in Nebraska. The bandit uses an AK-47 with a drum magazine. Special Agent Kevin Boles says the bandit’s 2009-2011 gray Nissan Maxima getaway car has unique markings…

Boles: Tinted windows and chrome trim as well as chrome wheels.

Halpern: An up to $100,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the AK-47 Bandit’s arrest and conviction.

Boles: This individual may be living in your neighborhood, very unsuspecting. But if you know somebody that drives this particular vehicle that matches the physical description, we urge you to give us a call.
