Mr. Schiff: A new way to try and catch bank robbers. It’s happening in the Chicago, Illinois area and FBI Special Agent Ross Rice says you can see some really good surveillance photos on a brand new website for bank bandits.

Mr. Rice: “ There are multiple digital images from each robbery. We take, obviously, the best photos that we have, that show most accurately and clearly who the offender is.”

Mr. Schiff: Rice says 24 hours a day, seven days a week, anyone can go to BanditTrackerChicago.com and see who’s robbing banks.

Mr. Rice: “ They can look at photos. They can print photos. They can download the wanted flyer, and most importantly, if they’re so inclined to do so, they can submit a tip online, anonymously.”

Mr. Schiff: Rice says that if you happen to be in a bank that’s being held up, follow the instructions of the bandit. Don’t take any action. But take some mental notes about the thief. The FBI along with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office and the Chicago Police Department are coordinating BanditTrackerChicago.com. I’m Neal Schiff of the Bureau, and that’s what’s happening at the “FBI, This Week.”
