Mr. Schiff: A week with a kidnapper. That’s what happened to a Florida woman who was forced to ride unwillingly with a guy who was her boyfriend from Florida north to North Carolina and south to Georgia and west to Alabama and Mississippi. And she left a trail of notes asking for help in rest rooms at restaurants and a gas station...

Ms. LaHaye: "An awful time for her to go seven days with that kind of fear. She’s a very, very brave woman.”

Mr. Schiff: That’s FBI Special Agent Anne LaHaye in Mississippi who helped find this woman and get her to safety. The kidnapped woman was able to secretly leave those notes for the public, and they were found…

Ms. LaHaye: "Basically what she was saying was, ‘I’ve been kidnapped. This is not a joke. Someone please call the police.’ ”

Mr. Schiff: LaHaye says authorities were on the trail and then she saw the vehicle…

Ms. LaHaye: "Not far down the road; I would say maybe six, seven, eight miles from Leland, I spotted the vehicle. The vehicle was traveling in the opposite direction that I was.”
