Mollie Halpern: The FBI needs the public’s help to identify a man who could help us solve a child exploitation case. The unidentified man, known as John Doe 29, may have critical information about the identity of the child victim.
Investigators discovered a series of photos in which a young blonde-haired girl is sexually abused. Among the photos was a non-exploitative image of John Doe 29 smiling at the camera with the girl, who was wearing Nike Velcro sneakers. The photo could have been taken in America or abroad.
Special Agent Amanda Strickland emphasizes that the FBI is not accusing John Doe of committing the abuse.
Amanda Strickland: We were hoping that clues and evidence and tips provided by the public will help us locate John Doe so we can interview him about the location of the victim.
Halpern: Investigators believe the sexual abuse of this girl could be ongoing.
Strickland: The ultimate goal is to rescue this child.
Halpern: For photos of John Doe, visit www.fbi.gov. Report tips to 1-800-CALL-FBI. I’m Mollie Halpern of the Bureau with Wanted by the FBI.
