Conversation Between William Lange and Victim
June 2, 2016
An audio clip of a conversation between William Lange and a frustrated victim of HFGI's advance fee scam trying to recover his money.
Victim: What are you doing, Bill, to get the money back? I mean, [expletive]. You know, we’ve been talking about this for three years, two-and-a-half years, getting this money back and, you know, you were going to give me the name of the guy in Madrid, you know, blah blah blah, and I just—you know, Bill, my frustration comes from nothing you've told me has ever come true.
I don’t give a [expletive] about anything other than getting my money back and money back. So tell me where you sent it, so I have somewhere to go with trying to find it.
It’s a lot of money for me. I don’t have an extra million dollars, so paying Regions back and a crappy economy has not been a joy for me.
Bill, you told me you had a gold mine, you told me you had a $50 million CD that your wife would kill you if you cashed in. You sent me the CD, it turned out to be a false one. All this stuff is piling up, Bill.
William Lange: Brian, Brian, Brian—
Victim: You can say Brian, Brian, Brian all you want, Bill, [expletive], I’m out a million dollars.
I’m just trying to understand where the money’s going to—is the money coming back from the lawsuit, Bill, against these people—
Victim: Or is it coming back from what you’re currently working on?
Lange: It—it’s coming—it doesn’t have anything to do with what I’m currently working on. It’s got to do with a funding source that has agreed to help me out. And, the thing is, is that, it can produce an avenue for you that you’re going to like, too, in the future. So all this [expletive] that you’ve put up with and I’ve put up with these last two and three years will have a reward at the end. And that’s my goal. My goal is to turn you and me from being goats into heroes.
Victim: The fact that I’m a goat because I sent you money is beyond—I can’t imagine us doing anything together. If I could get my money back, and get money back for the people that sent it to me and I sent it to the trust account, I would be thrilled.
