Wells Fargo Offers Reward in Repeat Bank Robber Case

Special Agent in Charge (SAC) J. Britt Johnson, FBI Atlanta, requests the public’s assistance for information leading to the identity and arrest of the individual responsible for two metro Atlanta area bank robberies.

On June 3, 2016, at approximately 2:45 p.m., a lone black male entered the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 12830 Highway 9, Alpharetta, Georgia and presented a demand note to the victim teller announcing a robbery. The robber then departed the bank without incident, having obtained an undisclosed amount of money. More information (bankrobbers.fbi.gov)

On June 22, 2016, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a lone black male entered the Bank of North Georgia, located at 4128 Highway 278, Covington, Georgia and presented a demand note to the victim teller announcing a robbery. The robber obtained an undisclosed amount of money and then departed the bank without incident.

The robber is described as being a black male, approximately 40-45 years of age, 5’10”-6’0” in height, medium build, mustache, and wearing a light blue T-shirt, ball cap, and sunglasses.

Wells Fargo has offered a reward in this matter and anyone with information should contact the FBI Atlanta Field Office at (404) 679-9000.
