FBI Seeking Bank Robber Wanted for Two Atlanta-Area Robberies

ATLANTA—J. Britt Johnson, Special Agent in Charge, FBI Atlanta Field Office, requests the public’s assistance in identifying and apprehending the individual responsible for the February 5, 2015 armed robbery of the Fidelity Bank, 135 Perimeter Center West, Atlanta, Georgia. It is believed that this robber is also responsible for the January 20, 2015 robbery of the BB&T Bank, 3361 Clairmont Road, Atlanta, Georgia.

On Thursday, February 5, 2015, at approximately 1:00 p.m., a lone white male entered the Fidelity Bank, located at 135 Perimeter Center West, Atlanta, Georgia, and demanded money from one of the bank’s tellers while lifting up his shirt to display a holstered handgun. The robber departed the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as having a slender build, 5’11” to 6’2” in height, weighing 150-160 pounds, and wearing blue jeans, a red sweatshirt with a hoodie, and a red baseball cap.

On Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at approximately 4:12 p.m., a lone white male entered the BB&T Bank, located at 3361 Clairmont Road, Atlanta, Georgia, and presented a demand note to a teller announcing a robbery. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the robber departed the bank without further incident. The robber was observed as having a slender build, wearing a dark hoodie sweatshirt and tan baseball cap. No weapon or getaway vehicle was observed.
