Robbery of Bank of Ozarks Branch in Oakwood

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Brian D. Lamkin, along with the Oakwood Police Department, requests the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individuals responsible for the Friday, May 11, 2012 armed robbery of the Bank of the Ozarks branch located at 4058 Continental Drive in Oakwood, Georgia.

On Friday, May 11, 2012, at approximately 2:51 p.m., two black males wearing masks robbed the Bank of the Ozarks located at 4058 Continental Drive in Oakwood, Georgia in an armed takeover style robbery. One of the robbers jumped the counter and put two tellers in the bank vault while the other went to each office to place employees on the floor.

Both robbers were wearing black masks. One of the robbers was described as 5’11” tall, weighing 180 lbs., and having a light complexion and brown eyes with freckles around the eyes. He was wearing a white shirt with khaki pants and white shoes. The other robber was described as being 6’2” in height, weighing 250 lbs., having a medium complexion, and wearing a dark shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.
