Armed Robbery of First Chatham Bank in Savannah

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Brian D. Lamkin, FBI Atlanta, along with the Savannah Chatham County Police Department, is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individuals responsible for today’s armed robbery of the following Savannah, Georgia bank:

On Thursday, August 30, 2012, at 4:25 p.m., two black males, wearing masks and brandishing handguns, entered the First Chatham Bank branch located at 111 Barnard Street in Savannah, Georgia, and announced a robbery. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the robbers departed the bank without further incident.

The robbers were described as being black males, 18-25 years in age, about 5’10” to 6’1” in height, with slight builds for both individuals. The robbers were wearing all black in color clothing, dark hats, white bandanas as masks, and they were observed driving a newer model Dodge, four-door truck, black in color. One of the handguns was described as a very large semi-automatic handgun, black in color.
