Calhoun Man Arrested for Attempting to Meet Minor for Sex

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Lamkin announces, on behalf of the FBI’s Northwest Georgia Safe Child Task Force, the following arrest at Ringgold, Georgia:

Randy Greenway, 50 years old and of Calhoun, Georgia, was arrested on Friday, July 15, 2011 by FBI agents and task force officers after coming to the attention of undercover officers on the Internet. Greenway is currently facing state charges of attempted aggravated child molestation after having attempted to meet with a minor child for purposes of having sex. He was met instead by FBI agents and task force officers of the FBI’s Northwest Georgia Safe Child Task Force and was arrested.

Greenway was processed at the Catoosa County Jail, Ringgold, Georgia and is currently out on bond while awaiting additional court proceedings.

The public should be reminded that the above are mere allegations and that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
