Child Predator Arrested

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge Gregory Jones, FBI Atlanta, announces on behalf of the Northwest Georgia Crimes Against Children Task Force, the following arrest:

On Sunday, August 30, 2009, Barry Loman, age 45, of Peachtree City, Georgia, was arrested without incident at Catoosa County, Georgia on child exploitation charges after he traveled from Peachtree City, Georgia to meet with what he thought was a minor child.

Loman, a golf professional at Lake Spivey Golf Club, is currently being detained at the Catoosa County Jail.

The Northwest Georgia Crimes Against Children Task Force consists of federal agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and officers from the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office, Dalton Police Department, Dade County Sheriff’s Office, Rossville Police Department, and the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office.

The public is reminded that all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
