FBI Albuquerque Seeks Suspect in Officer-Involved Shooting

The FBI and the Laguna Police Department (LPD) are searching for a suspect related to an officer-involved shooting that occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016 in the area of the Route 66 Casino on the Pueblo of Laguna.

An LPD officer investigating a vehicle that was reported stolen was shot but is expected to recover.

A male suspect was shot and killed.

Another man, who can be seen in the video above, fled and is wanted by authorities. He was wearing black shorts with a white stripe, a black jacket with white trim, and black shoes with white soles. He did not flee in the vehicle.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs, New Mexico State Police, and Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the investigation.
