FBI Media Alert: Woman Robs Credit Union in Gallup

The FBI and Gallup Police Department are looking for a woman who robbed First Financial Credit Union, located at 1383 Highway 491, in Gallup on Saturday, January 10, 2015.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic female under 5’0” tall, approximately 120 pounds, with a medium build and black hair.

She wore a black and white checkered long-sleeved flannel shirt, black beanie, and black sunglasses.

Witnesses said the suspect entered the bank at approximately 11:50 a.m. and gave a teller a note demanding money.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank and walked south.

Authorities are investigating whether this suspect could be linked to the robbery of the Bank of Albuquerque in Albuquerque on Thursday, January 8, 2015.

The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a bank robber.

Bank robbery carries a possible prison term of up to 20 years. The use of a gun, other dangerous weapon, toy gun, or hoax bomb device during the commission of a bank robbery can be punishable by a prison term of up to 25 years.
